speakerpicMr Michael Hugh Jones, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust I have been a Consultant in Kent since 1996 and I also hold an Honorary Consultant Gynaecologist position at St George's Hospital, Tooting. My background interests stem from my research with Albert Singer in colposcopy and cervical pathology following my MD thesis on managing mild dyskaryosis in 1995. I am currently the Clinical Audit Chairman for my Trust. I frequently represent the Trust at a variety of conferences where I present scientific papers on subjects including risk management, audit and of course cervical disease. I am still active in investigating the optimum management of mild dyskaryosis.

speakerCharles Lacey
Charles Lacey is Professor of Genitourinary Medicine at Hull York Medical School, University of York. He looks after patients with HIV and complex HPV. His research interests include the development of microbicides and mucosal vaccines against HIV, HPV disease and HPV vaccines, and the immunology of the anogenital tract. Prof Lacey holds various external grant funding, including being part of a Gates Grand Challenges Award. As well as clinical and laboratory studies in York, he continues to collaborate with MRC Uganda.

I took up my current position as Specialist Nurse for gynaecology at the Conquest Hospital in Hastings in November 2000. I qualified as a Nurse Colposcopist in May 2002, I also became accreditied as a Hysteroscopist in June of that year. I also have been involved in the South East Coast QA Team for a number of years.

speakerpicDr. Suman Prinjha
Suman Prinjha is an anthropologist and Senior Researcher for the Health Experiences Research Group, University of Oxford. She has conducted around 300 in-depth interviews across the UK on patients’ experiences of illness. All of this research has been made available to patients and health professionals via the Healthtalkonline website (www.healthtalkonline.org) and peer-reviewed papers. She has just completed a new section for the website on women’s experiences of CIN 3 and CGIN, funded by the NHS Cancer Screening Programmes.

Dr Amanda Tristram
Dr Amanda Tristram is a Senior Lecturer in Gynaecological Oncology in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Wales School of Medicine, Cardiff University.  Her clinical practice is in the area of gynaecological oncology, colposcopy and vulval disease.  Her research interests are in HPV and HPV-related anogenital neoplasia, including HPV vaccines, novel therapies and the provision of information for women about HPV.
